About Partnership: Partnership for Families, Children and Adults is a multi-site, multi-program social service agency serving residents of the Tennessee Valley. Begun in 1877 as a single-site provider of pregnancy services for unmarried women, today’s Partnership is one of the area’s largest, most comprehensive social service “umbrella” agencies, with offices in Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia and North Alabama. More than 20 programs are under Partnership’s “umbrella of services;” all share a common mission: “empowering people to build better lives.”
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for administering and supervising all fundraising programs and goals within the agency including annual giving, corporate fundraising, grant proposals, donor communications, special events, planned giving, etc. In addition, the incumbent leads the functions of the development office which include: Public Relations and Marketing, volunteers, and the agency writer. The incumbent also staffs the development committee of the Board of Directors.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with master’s preferred in Marketing, Communications or fund-raising Fields; Minimum of 3 years professional fundraising experience; Supervisory experience required; Proficiency with all Microsoft office programs, and generally computer literate in a network setting. Development software used is Sage; Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills; Knowledge of local business, civic and cultural communities desired; Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously; Passionate commitment to PFCA’s mission, vision and strategic direction; Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekends in response to agency, donor and volunteer needs; Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision; Ability to make sound and independent decisions in the limits of agency structure; Strong project management, teamwork, facilitation, problem solving, decision-making, program planning, evaluation and report preparation skills.
