Girls Incorporated® of
Chattanooga has an opening for a Program Manager for elementary school age programs. The ideal candidate will have strong supervisory, planning, organizational, troubleshooting, and written and verbal communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least 2 years experience working with school-age children. Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or sociology and three years experience in program and staff management. |

| The Program Manager oversees the day-to-day operation of Girls Incorporated of
Chattanooga’s after-school, fall and spring break, and summer camp programs. The Manager reports to the Director of Program Operations and is responsible for maintaining quality programming that is in line with Girls Incorporated of
Chattanooga’s value statement. Key responsibilities include:
- Manages the planning process and opening of all program and camp sites according to established guidelines and timelines.
- Manages program coordinator staff in the delivery of curricula and daily activities.
- Conducts regular observations at the sites and submits written reports to the Director of Program Operations.
- Ensures recruitment of program participants is maintained to ensure adequate attendance at all site.
- Maintains effective relationships with school staff, parents, volunteers, and community partners; identifies opportunities for new partnerships.
- Develops new program activities and curricula that respond to the needs and interests of girls served by the programs and camps in conjunction with the Director of Program Operations.
- Ensures homework assistance, volunteers and peer tutors function within Girls Inc. guidelines.
- Identifies and schedules program speakers and educational field trips.
- Develops strategies for parent involvement.
- In concert with the Director of Program Operations, trains and supervises program staff at site locations.
