This updated Guidebook was compiled by the State of Tennessee’s Office of the Attorney General and the Secretary of State, with input from our partners at the Center for Nonprofit Management in Nashville.   (We are referenced on p. 22.)   The Guidebook was first created six years ago.   Since then, Tennessee’s nonprofit statutes have been revised, technology has changed the way nonprofits manage assets and raise money.  This guidebook contains information reflecting these changes. Although it is entitled “What Every Board Member Should Know”  please ensure your agency staff reviews it as well.
